A NOTE ABOUT FUNDRAISERING
The orchestra will participate in several fundraisers this year. Fundraisers provide opportunities to fund the orchestra but also require an effort on the part of students and their families. The orchestra has numerous needs this year. BMMS is a relatively new school and does not have a large collection of supplies from many years of operation. New instruments and music are required as the orchestra grows and changes. The orchestra currently needs a new bass to accommodate students who play this very large instrument. The orchestra also needs new music which must be purchased and reproduced with legal respect for copyrights.
The Boosters understand that sales participation may not be appropriate or desirable for every family. However, funding is needed. Support for the orchestra may be provided in a variety of ways. Monetary donations may be made in lieu of participation in sales oriented fundraisers. Donations of time and effort are also extremely helpful. We need volunteers to help with softball concessions, pirate ice sales, field trips, uniforms, and concert preparation. We appreciate your efforts!
